STERLING HEIGHTS, Mich., July 17, 2026 — Democratic candidate for Michigan’s 58th House District Katrina Manetta today announced endorsements from the Northern Midwest Regional Council of Carpenters, SMART Transportation Division PAC, MI Rural PAC, the Committee to Protect Health Care, the Sierra Club, and the College Democrats at Oakland University, continuing to build a broad coalition of support from organizations representing working families, healthcare advocates, environmental leaders, rural communities, and young voters.
The endorsements reflect growing confidence in Manetta’s commitment to lowering costs for working families, expanding access to affordable healthcare, protecting Michigan’s natural resources, strengthening civic engagement, and delivering practical leadership rooted in the experiences of everyday Michiganders.

The Northern Midwest Regional Council of Carpenters, which represents union carpenters and skilled trades workers across Michigan and neighboring states, said it was proud to endorse Manetta because of her demonstrated support for the community and her commitment to advocating for working families and their interests.
The SMART Transportation Division PAC, representing union railroad, transit, and transportation workers, endorsed Manetta after recognizing her dedication and understanding of the issues facing its active and retired members. In its endorsement, SMART said Manetta has earned the respect and support of members across Michigan and expressed its commitment to working with her if elected.
MI Rural PAC praised Manetta’s thoughtful engagement throughout its endorsement process, saying it found strong shared values and common ground with her campaign. In its endorsement letter, the organization expressed confidence in her leadership, character, integrity, and ability to serve her community with purpose. The PAC also recognized the importance of grassroots support and said it believes in Manetta’s vision for Michigan.
The Committee to Protect Health Care endorsed Manetta and designated her a Care for MI Candidate, recognizing her commitment to expanding access to quality, affordable healthcare for every Michigander. In its endorsement letter, the organization said it looks forward to working with Manetta on issues including healthcare affordability, coverage, access, and reproductive freedom.
The Sierra Club praised Manetta as an environmental champion and ally. The organization works to protect Michigan’s air, water, public lands, and natural resources while advancing clean energy and conservation.
The College Democrats at Oakland University endorsed Manetta in support of her vision for the future of Michigan. The organization is dedicated to engaging students in the democratic process, developing young leaders, and encouraging civic participation on campus and throughout the state.
