STERLING HEIGHTS, Mich., June 23, 2026 — Katrina Manetta, candidate for Michigan State House in District 58, today announced that she has earned endorsements from Detroit Action and Emgage Action, two organizations focused on grassroots organizing, civic engagement, and building political power in communities across Michigan.
Detroit Action is a grassroots organization focused on building political power in working-class communities through organizing around issues such as housing affordability, economic opportunity, and voting rights.
Emgage Action is a civic engagement and advocacy organization dedicated to building political power within Muslim communities through voter engagement, education, leadership development, and issue advocacy.
Together, the endorsements highlight the broad coalition forming behind Manetta’s campaign, including grassroots organizers, labor, and working people across District 58.
As a candidate who has spent years organizing in Macomb County, Manetta has consistently emphasized the importance of civic engagement, community leadership, and building power from the ground up.

Manetta, a lifelong Macomb County resident, service worker, and community organizer, has built her campaign around lowering costs for working families, protecting workers’ rights, strengthening public safety and education, and delivering practical solutions rooted in local experience.
Michigan’s 58th House District includes parts of Sterling Heights, Warren, Utica and Shelby Township and is widely considered one of the most competitive districts in the state. It is also one of Macomb County’s most diverse districts, home to immigrant communities with roots across the Middle East, South Asia, and Eastern Europe.
