STERLING HEIGHTS, Mich., Feb. 7, 2026 — Katrina Manetta officially launched her campaign today for Michigan State Representative in the 58th District, pledging to focus on lowering costs, supporting public safety, and delivering results for families in Macomb County.
“People here are working hard and still falling behind,” Manetta said. “Housing, groceries, and healthcare all cost more, and too often state government acts like that’s someone else’s problem. It isn’t.”
Manetta said her campaign will focus on affordability, healthcare access, accountability, and building on strong public safety investments that keep communities safe. In a district closely tied to auto and manufacturing jobs, she said Michigan must protect working families while preparing for economic change without putting livelihoods at risk.
Over the past year, Manetta has worked directly in the community, helping coordinate mutual aid efforts for families under financial strain, elevating the voices of residents who would be hardest hit by Medicaid cuts, and working with local organizations to ensure people most affected by policy decisions are heard.
“I’m not interested in slogans or distractions,” Manetta said. “I’m here to do the work. Results are the point. Everything else is noise.”
The 58th House District includes portions of Shelby Township, Utica, Sterling Heights, and Warren.
