STERLING HEIGHTS, Mich., Feb. 9, 2026 — Katrina Manetta raised $12,765 in the first days of her campaign for Michigan State Representative in the 58th District, surpassing her initial $10,000 launch fundraising goal following a standing-room-only campaign kickoff event attended by more than 100 supporters.
The early fundraising total reflects contributions from individual donors across Macomb County, with an average donation of more than $90, according to the campaign, indicating broad support from local residents rather than large or institutional donors. The campaign said it will not accept corporate PAC contributions or donations from utility companies.
Manetta said the response reflects growing engagement from residents concerned about affordability and accountability in state government.
“This isn’t just about a dollar amount,” Manetta said. “What I’m seeing is people across Macomb County stepping up because they’re tired of falling behind while costs keep rising. They want leadership that listens, shows up, and actually does the work.”
Manetta said her campaign is centered on lowering the cost of living, strengthening public safety and public education, protecting access to healthcare, defending workers’ rights, and holding state government accountable.
“This campaign is being built by the people who live here,” Manetta said. “Teachers, service workers, parents, retirees—people who want to know their voices matter and that government can still work when leaders stay focused on results instead of politics.”
The campaign also announced early endorsements from State Rep. Natalie Price, Macomb County Commissioner Michael Howard, and Warren City Councilmember Henry Newnan.
“Surpassing our launch goal this early tells me people are ready for a different approach,” Manetta said. “I’m focused on practical solutions and delivering results families can feel in their everyday lives.”
Manetta is running for the Michigan State House in the 58th District, which includes parts of Sterling Heights, Warren, Utica, and Shelby Township.
