STERLING HEIGHTS, Mich., June 12, 2026 — Katrina Manetta today announced the endorsement of IBEW Local 58 in her campaign for Michigan’s 58th State House District.
The endorsement comes from one of Michigan’s largest and most influential building trades unions. Based in Detroit, IBEW Local 58 represents thousands of electrical workers, telecommunications professionals, and skilled trades workers throughout Southeast Michigan and has spent more than a century advocating for fair wages, strong benefits, workplace safety, and apprenticeship opportunities.
“I’m incredibly honored to earn the endorsement of IBEW Local 58,” Manetta said. “Skilled trades workers helped build Macomb County and continue to power our economy every day. In Lansing, I’ll fight to protect workers’ rights, expand pathways into the skilled trades, strengthen apprenticeship programs, and make sure Michigan remains a place where working people can build a stable life.”
As a lifelong Macomb County resident and service worker, Manetta has made economic opportunity, affordability, and support for working people central themes of her campaign. She has consistently advocated for protecting collective bargaining rights, investing in workforce development, and creating more opportunities for young people to enter good-paying careers without taking on overwhelming student debt.
Michigan’s 58th House District includes parts of Sterling Heights, Warren, Utica and Shelby Township and is widely considered one of the most competitive districts in the state.
