STERLING HEIGHTS, Mich., May 28, 2026 — Democratic candidate Katrina Manetta today announced that she has received the endorsement of the Michigan League of Conservation Voters (“LCV”) in her campaign for Michigan State House District 58.
The endorsement recognizes candidates committed to protecting Michigan’s environment, defending clean water and holding powerful corporate interests accountable.
Manetta said the endorsement reflects the kind of practical, people-focused leadership voters in Macomb County are looking for.
“I’m honored to earn the support of the Michigan League of Conservation Voters,” Manetta said. “People here care deeply about protecting our water, improving infrastructure and making sure corporations and special interests aren’t putting profits ahead of our communities.”
“In Macomb County, environmental issues aren’t abstract political talking points. They affect our roads, flooding, utility bills, public health, and quality of life. Families want leaders who will take these issues seriously while also protecting jobs and keeping our communities affordable.”
Manetta has also signed the LCV No Utility Money Challenge, pledging not to accept political contributions from monopoly utility companies, including DTE Energy and Consumers Energy.
“Working families are already stretched thin by rising costs,” Manetta said. “People deserve elected officials who will stand up to monopoly utility companies, and I can’t do that if they’re funding my campaign.”
Manetta, a lifelong Macomb County resident, service worker, and community organizer, is running on a platform focused on lowering costs for working families, strengthening public safety and education, protecting workers’ rights, and delivering practical solutions rooted in local experience.
Michigan’s 58th House District includes parts of Sterling Heights, Warren, Utica and Shelby Township and is widely considered one of the most competitive districts in the state.
