STERLING HEIGHTS, Mich., July 2, 2026 — Katrina Manetta today announced that she has earned the endorsement of the Michigan AFL-CIO in her campaign for Michigan’s 58th State House District.
The Michigan AFL-CIO is the state’s largest federation of labor unions, representing more than 1 million active and retired union members across more than 40 affiliated unions throughout Michigan.
The endorsement marks a major milestone for Manetta’s campaign and underscores growing support from organized labor for her candidacy and her commitment to fighting for working people.
“The labor movement has always been about dignity, solidarity, and making sure working people have a voice,” Manetta said. “I’m proud to earn the support of the Michigan AFL-CIO and deeply grateful for the trust they’ve placed in me.”

Manetta, a lifelong Macomb County resident, service worker, and community organizer, has built her campaign around lowering costs for working families, protecting workers’ rights, strengthening public safety and education, and delivering practical solutions rooted in local experience.
Michigan’s 58th House District includes parts of Sterling Heights, Warren, Utica and Shelby Township and is widely considered one of the most competitive districts in the state.
