STERLING HEIGHTS, Mich., June 12, 2026 — Democratic candidate Katrina Manetta today announced that she has received candidate designations from both Voters Not Politicians and Mental Health Now, recognizing her commitment to protecting voting rights, government accountability, constituent accessibility, and advancing mental health policy in Michigan.
Voters Not Politicians awarded Manetta its Pro-Voter Designation, a recognition given to candidates who commit to protecting voting rights and remaining publicly accessible and accountable to the people they represent.
Mental Health Now designated Manetta as a 2026 Mental Health Now Candidate, recognizing candidates who commit to governing with mental health as a priority and advancing policies that improve mental health outcomes for Michigan residents.
Together, the recognitions reflect Manetta’s broader campaign focus on responsive government, community well-being, and practical leadership rooted in the everyday experiences of working families.

The organization became nationally known for leading Michigan’s successful effort to establish an independent citizens redistricting commission.
Mental Health Now is a nonpartisan initiative that works to elevate mental health policy as a priority in public life and encourages candidates and elected officials to support solutions that improve mental health outcomes across Michigan communities.
As a lifelong Macomb County resident, service worker, and community organizer, Manetta has centered her campaign on lowering costs for working families, strengthening public safety and education, protecting workers’ rights, and delivering practical solutions rooted in local experience.
Michigan’s 58th House District includes parts of Sterling Heights, Warren, Utica and Shelby Township and is widely considered one of the most competitive districts in the state.
