STERLING HEIGHTS, Mich., June 3, 2026 — Katrina Manetta today announced the endorsement of UAW Region 1 in her campaign for Michigan’s 58th State House District.
The endorsement comes from one of the most influential labor organizations in Michigan and reflects support from active and retired union members across the region. UAW Region 1 represents workers throughout Macomb County and has long been a leading voice for working people, fair wages, workplace safety, retirement security, and the future of Michigan manufacturing.
In its endorsement letter, UAW Region 1 said it believes Manetta’s vision will ensure that working people and retirees are well represented and that she will help build a stronger future for Michigan workers.
“I’m incredibly honored to earn the endorsement of UAW Region 1,” Manetta said. “Working people built Macomb County. They built our communities, our economy, and the middle class. As someone who has spent the last decade working as a server, I understand the challenges families are facing because I’ve lived them myself.”

Manetta is a lifelong Macomb County resident, service worker, and community organizer who has centered her campaign on lowering costs for working families, strengthening public safety and education, protecting workers’ rights, and delivering practical solutions rooted in real, local experience. HEr campaign has continued to build momentum through support from labor, grassroots, environmental, and reproductive rights organizations, as well as dozens of local elected officials and community leaders.
Michigan’s 58th House District includes parts of Sterling Heights, Warren, Utica and Shelby Township and is widely considered one of the most competitive districts in the state.
