STERLING HEIGHTS, Mich., Sept. 25, 2026 — Katrina Manetta, Democratic candidate for Michigan’s 58th House District, today announced five new organizational endorsements, including four organizations representing Michigan’s skilled trades and a statewide youth civic engagement organization.
The latest endorsements come from Sheet Metal Workers Local 80, Pipefitters Local 636, the Michigan Pipe Trades Association, Iron Workers Local 25, and Michigan FIRE Action.
The endorsements add to Manetta’s support from organized labor and community organizations as her campaign focuses on affordability, workers’ rights, public safety, education, and infrastructure.
“These endorsements mean a lot to me because they come from people who work hard every day to build and strengthen our communities,” Manetta said. “Working people deserve good wages, strong benefits, safe workplaces, and the ability to build a stable life for their families. In Lansing, I’ll always stand up for the people who keep Michigan running.”
The Michigan Pipe Trades Association highlighted skilled-trades licensing, registered apprenticeships, prevailing wage standards, and infrastructure investment in its endorsement of Manetta. The organization said those priorities help support family-sustaining careers and strengthen Michigan’s construction industry.
“The Michigan Pipe Trades is proud to stand with you in this election,” the organization wrote in its endorsement letter.
Pipefitters Local 636 also cited Manetta’s support for working people and organized labor in formally endorsing her campaign. Sheet Metal Workers Local 80 and Iron Workers Local 25 separately announced their support for Manetta this month. Iron Workers Local 25 President Dennis Aguirre II thanked Manetta for “representing the working class” in notifying the campaign of the union’s endorsement.
“I’m proud to have support from organizations that are invested in the future of working families and our communities,” Manetta said. “This campaign is about making sure the people who work for a living have someone fighting for them in Lansing, and making government work better for the people it is supposed to serve.”
Manetta is a lifelong Macomb County resident, service worker and community organizer running to represent Michigan’s 58th House District. Her campaign is focused on lowering costs for working families, strengthening public safety and education, protecting workers’ rights, and investing in Michigan communities.
Michigan’s 58th House District includes parts of Sterling Heights, Warren, Utica and Shelby Township and is widely considered one of the most competitive districts in the state.
