STERLING HEIGHTS, Mich., May 29, 2026 — Katrina Manetta, Democratic candidate for Michigan’s 58th State House District, today announced that she has received the endorsement of The People’s Coalition, a grassroots, people-powered organization focused on community organizing, civic engagement, and building political power through volunteer-driven movements across Michigan.
The endorsement adds to growing momentum behind Manetta’s campaign and reflects strong support from grassroots organizers and community leaders committed to building political power from the ground up. The People’s Coalition cited Manetta’s record as a community organizer, her refusal to accept corporate PAC money, and her commitment to putting working people ahead of special interests in announcing its endorsement.
“Katrina understands what so many people in this district are experiencing because she’s lived it herself,” The People’s Coalition said in its endorsement announcement. “She has built a people-powered coalition, shown that organized neighbors can still outwork big money, and is running because government should work for working people, not just the donor class.”
The endorsement carries special significance for Manetta, who has worked alongside The People’s Coalition’s founders and members as an organizer over the past year.

Michigan’s 58th House District includes parts of Sterling Heights, Warren, Utica and Shelby Township and is widely considered one of the most competitive districts in the state.
